Yifan (Yvonne) Xie


Biostatistics

Yifan (Yvonne) Xie is a MS student in Biostatistics at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She is currently working with data from the CARDIA (Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults) study, a long-term cohort examining how cardiovascular risk factors develop from young adulthood into midlife. Her work focuses on analyzing longitudinal data to investigate the progression of cardiovascular risk factors and their impact on health outcomes across the life course.

Yvonne previously worked as a research assistant at Boston University School of Medicine and the AWARE Lab, where she contributed to projects on immune response in critical illness and mental health among Asian American populations. She also has experience in healthcare data analysis, working with multi-site hospital data to evaluate patient outcomes and inform healthcare strategy. Her interests lie in aging, healthcare consulting, and applying quantitative methods to real-world health problems. In her free time, she enjoys exploring NYC and finding new favorite food spots.
