Tara Sangal
Epidemiology
Tara is a MPH candidate in the Epidemiology department at Columbia Mailman School of Public Health, with an emphasis on environmental exposures in health. Currently, she is working with the Belsky lab on her master’s thesis where she analyzes the intersection of dietary fasting with the reversal of air pollution related genomic damage.
Tara graduated from Barnard College with a degree in Computational Biology and is part of the Mailman 4+1 program. She is interested in environmental epidemiology, astrobiology, and public health technology. Outside of school, Tara volunteers at the South Seaport Museum, enjoys hiking, biking, and running.
