Simryn Parikh

Data Science (DSI)

Simryn Parikh is a graduate student majoring in Data Science at Columbia University. She works on constructing, cleaning, and harmonizing large-scale longitudinal health outcome datasets across multiple study waves, with a focus on clinically meaningful outcome definitions to support research on aging and chronic disease.
Before joining the lab, Simryn supported research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), where she worked on data-driven projects applying statistical and machine learning methods to large, complex datasets. She is broadly interested in applying data science to biomedical and population health research, particularly in understanding long-term disease trajectories.
