Biostatistics

Shimoni Adani is a second-year Master’s student in Biostatistics at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Her research interests center on neurology, Alzheimer’s disease, and rare diseases, with a particular focus on autoimmune disorders. In the Belsky Lab, she contributes to the XPrize research initiative, and as her school practicum project, she is examining EWAS and PWAS data in Alzheimer’s disease to identify correlations across CpG sites.

Looking ahead, Shimoni hopes to pursue a career researching rare diseases and collaborating with pharmaceutical companies on clinical trials in neurology (dementia and Alzheimer’s disease) and autoimmune disorders. In her spare time, she enjoys finding cute cafes around New York City and reading.
