Aanya Bahl
Epidemiology
Aanya Bahl is a PhD candidate in Epidemiology at Columbia University. Her research examines how biological aging, immune aging, and cardiometabolic risk factors shape Alzheimer's disease trajectories across the life course. Using plasma biomarkers of neurodegeneration and data from population-based longitudinal cohorts, she investigates how social and biological exposures accumulate to influence neurodegenerative risk. Aanya also studies women's aging, with a particular interest in reproductive aging and the factors that support healthy aging in women throughout life.
Outside the lab, Aanya can be found gardening, running, or listening to a good New York City history podcast.
